...during my husband’s last Air Force tour at Andrews AFB.

We went to see the cherry blossoms several times - a truly spectacular sight. One of the prettiest on the planet, IMO.

Lived in DC 20+ years, office within walking distance, visited during lunch breaks often, and brought daughters there weekends.

(NOW, live in southern MD not far from Andrews.)

My husband was flying small jets for the Special Air Mission wing that flies all the non-POTUS people - senators, representatives, visiting dignitaries, etc. He had to be able to get to the base within 20 minutes. As you would know, beltway traffic was always awful, so we had to live really nearby in order to fulfill that 20 minutes show time requirement. Not a lot of choices.

Fascinating area to live in. The summer heat and humidity are brutal.

We now live in the greater Chicago area.

back to you.
