Starlink. Initial cost for equipment is $600, then $99 a month. The box comes with everything you need already connected, set up, load app. Usually up and running in 10-15 minutes.

I have one on order.

they have very bad ping, meaning there is over 0.5 second between when you send something and it comes back. This makes it impossible to use for applications like games or even working by connecting to a remote computer.

They have pitiful bandwidth for upload ( 1mB/s or so..) and are about 10 times slower for downliad than fiber or cable.
The performance is highly dependent on the weather and pretty much goes to zero in a storm or heavy rain.

On top of that they are all throttled beyond a point ( viasat for example throttles after a 100 gig)

All of these limitations are because the satellite are in geostationary orbit ( 38000 km or so).

The only exception is the new starlink service that Elon Musk is deploying. Its currently in beta testing. I am part of that beta program.

Performance is on par with cable . It uses hundreds of small satelites in low earth orbit.

It is supposed to come available to everybody in north america by the end of this year.
It will be $99.0 a month and you have to buy the equipment upfront ($499.00).

at least it would be cheaper than that. verizon has plans for around 45 or 50/month.
