Have you bought yourself a gift?

I just thought about this. I usually start off buying with something for myself but haven’t this year. Usually its just something I see at a store but since I haven’t gone many places this year I guess I forgot.

Thanks to amazon.
I should be spending less money during a pandemic but amazon is preventing that.

Not really a hat person, but started wearing one this past year, but it’s a straw one ... I think I’ve settled on a woven woolen sloucher beanie... that way I can pull it completely over my head if need be ... is getting cold now

granddaughter's Girl Scout troop had a fundraiser. I have a couple of new bird feeders on the way. Got those on eBay.
My health insurance co. sent me a gift card for going to my well-check, and I'm planning to get either a new trash bin or mailbox with it. I like imagining how I'll spend it

Replacing the carpet that The Mighty Zeppelin ruined! Had it done the Monday before Thanksgiving. Left the Tv Room and my office to be done after he moved on. The little prick moved on 7 days later! Now doing the Tv Room and my office the Monday after Xmas.

Ya know, I loved that little dude. But he was a horrible little creature! LOL! I miss him to no end, but passing on the week after we had most of the house carpet replaced and $200 in baby gates? I wouldn't expect any different from the dog that would forcefully put me between his 15 pound ass and a 140 pound pitbull. He was such a prick! But damn I miss him....

Anyhoo, new Fraize carpet and extra thick padding. It's like walking through the grass it's so thick!

Merry Christmas to us!

in the last month, I've bought myself a new blender (my old one was a wedding present 52 years ago), some "bear claws" for shredding meat, a bench scraper with a cutting edge and measurements, and a few other thingees. I've been a very good girl this year, I mean how much trouble can you get into when there is a pandemic and you are doing little more than staying inside?

But now I need some kind of utility cart to put some of my goodies on. I see that I have another gift coming real soon!

Off to browse Amazon ...

It's run by a right-winger, but the utility carts they sell (we have four at work) are excellent in quality and reasonable in price.

I already browsed, bought and it's on its way to be delivered by tomorrow. I have Prime, so shipping was free, and I can return it for no charge if need be.

It had 5 star reviews, and is supposedly easy to assemble. I hope so! And the price was right. Thanks, though.

...the most beautiful chess & storage box set I've ever laid eyes on ($750 for the pieces, $200 for the mahogany fitted-coffer box), but didn't get a quality board worthy of it. This year I'm splurging for a maple/elm burl board to go with it.

No one else buys me anything, and I don't buy much for anyone else, so what the he--, live a little!

it turned out I really like them - comfortable and and I think they look pretty cool and I can wear them with shorts or long pants and to work.

So just today I ordered another pair in a different color so I could have more fashionable options when getting dressed. (Also to help mitigate the wear and tear on the original pair. I like them so much I wear them more than I should).

I call that my christmas present. I also bought my wife one of those cheesy "I Love You in a hundred languages" necklaces because it was cute and I do and you can shine a light through it so it projects "I Love You" in all the languages on the wall. It was cheap (hence the "cheesy" ) and just something I wanted to get for her. We got each other new smart phones for our real presents.

I'm a "wordy" and this appealed to me. I have no faith it'll get to me by Christmas. Merriam-Webster sent me a DHL tracking number a few days ago after the order "shipped" but when I check the tracking number, DHL apparently has no record of the shipment being made.

My experience with DHL recently was having some advent calendars shipped from Germany. The story is too long and boring, but let's just say that my calendars went on quite the little journey! But eventually they did make it to me, over 5 weeks later.

Good luck! Like the shirt.

Actually, I signed the contract last April for it to be built. It just turned out to be finished this month.
