Hmm... it might have been NY Newsday of which the NY edition is gone vs it's original Long Is edition continues
And the only store in my nabe that carried at least the Daily News stopped getting it during the pandemic.
I really need to make a semi-habit of looking on line for my favorite comics.
Does anyone remember the NS mini Arc of "The _______ Chronicals" where the girls find a book of ? dinosaur tales written by a journalist of those time that are a "W" Bush ?allegory. I can vaguely remember some of the panels.

Newsday was one of the papers that dropped it after Wiley erroneously released a version of one of his Sunday strips with some explicit language in it (quickly taken down and replaced, but it was out in the world for a time). The RW Grievance Machine went into full gear with that one.
