Silly.

Just wondering how much money to take with me.

I don't understand the dental business world today. Seems like a racket of referrals and more referrals and refusing to give estimates of cost up front.

I need an extraction of an old root canal that is infected. I know this. I've been told this. I was a patient at university dental school but they stopped seeing patients during the pandemic, and finding another option has taken me months of getting the runaround. A local dentist spent FIVE minutes max with me and charged me $139 for his time, made the appt for the extraction, and then got a callback that his schedule was too full.

And that was six weeks ago with me still looking. I even called Gentle Dental but they said they could not give me an estimate of cost. Forget that.
