Yes, you certainly do need a weekend devoid of objectives!

Of course, you do realize that that sort of weekend is also an objective.....

But I want to be able to come to the end of a weekend of having done nothing but lounge around in my pajamas, and say: "Yep. Got everything on my list done this weekend"...

Trust me, activity makes you feel better and makes for better memories than just lounging around the house.

Learning and working has to outweigh laziness, or we're all doomed to die in our trashed up planet.

... That didn't mean to come out like a speech.

After the work-week I put in at clinic, I just need the weekends to chill a little. And even on the slowest weekends, I still put in some journal reading and continuing education.

Funny you should mentioned our trashed-up planet; I just re-watched "WALL-E" today, and downloaded the end-credit's song, Peter Gabriel's "Down To Earth", to my iPod.

I always use (and re-use) canvas bags for grocery shopping, so I can skip the depressing stuff. Anything inspiring about the movie?

my hair is getting mildewed from constantly dunking my head trying to stay cool

wet towel on the foot of the bed plus a fan blowing over it helps. No AC here.

I don't think you understand the concept of 'a day off'; if you go in to work, then it's not a day off...

Take a real day off!
