(36,903 posts)3. Of course. It is just a funny rejoinder regarding the SNL parody of Whitmer and her response.
Speaking to Charlie Langton during a Fox 2 Detroit interview Sunday, Whitmer was asked about her reaction to Strong's portrayal, which didn't make the live at-home edition airing Saturday night but was posted online Sunday morning. In the clip, Strong is nursing a Labatt Blue, an odd choice for the sketch given Michigan's embarrassment of riches when it comes to local craft beer.
"It's kind of funny, but ... they got the beer wrong," Whitmer told Langton before holding up an unopened bottle of Two Hearted Ale from Comstock-based Bell's Brewery. "It should've been a Michigan beer, not Labatt.
"We love Canada, but we drink Michigan beer."

She even sent a Cecily Strong a care package of Michigan beers/swag!
