That's a mind boggling number. Even my own station is on this thing, plus BBC, Radio Brussels and others

I think that I'm in love.

I remember as a kid getting excited when the atmospheric conditions were just right and we could get a Mexican station on AM radio, it didn't happen very often. When I was older, I got a shortwave radio and was able to listen to lots of foreign stations, but still only when the conditions were right. Now I can listen to pretty much anything anytime anywhere. I LOVE it!

I do miss the shortwave, though; many stations are no longer broadcasting worldwide because of internet streaming. It was pretty special to pick up a station from thousands of miles away with just a little portable radio.

Also, when I was a kid my dad gave me a huge wooden cabinet radio and record player, very antique, as tall as I was. Very fine workmanship on the wood.

Not the kind that you set on a counter or table, it was truly a piece of furniture. I changed the angle of the big square antenna inside and listen to radio from around the world, but only at night, when the local stations powered down.

Nothing compared to what we can get now online, though, but very mysterious stuff. Enjoy, Mr. Scorpio.

It's like the few stations that I've listened to on iTunes have blown way up over the years.

Instead of a few stations from just a few countries, now the entire world is available.

My mind is officially blown.
