After a Duer suggested searching distillery companies that have recently started making large hand sanitizer supplies for hospitals, workplaces and also to sell to individuals, I looked into it today.

*I haven't ordered any products so far so I can't vouch for any particular items.
Here's an article with a list of diverse products I noticed, from basic to more upscale items:

(7,715 posts)They had tons of different hand sanitizers. They were a bit on the expensive side (something like $9.99 for a large bottle, but I didn't catch the size). But there were a lot, which made me think that things are slowly coming around.

(41,168 posts)much needed demand. I like Safeway, have exhausted the local drugstores, so I'll inquire. Thanks!

$45 for a gallon of WHO approved sanitizer spray. I'm using it a lot because I'm in my car a lot going house to house as a hospice nurse. But, will probably share my half gallon with someone else. It's a lot.
If you get like 5 people to split a gallon you probably would have plenty for a while and it' would be cheap

(23,731 posts)Soap and water are actually more effective than the sanitizers. I keep a small pump bottle of it in my car to use when I'm out. But use soap and water whenever I can.

Soap and water are still the best for hand washing esp. at home.
But to go out for errands for two hours and think that I would never touch my face, get a scratch or have to use a public bathroom and wait to wash at home is unrealistic, for me.
Same for using public building doors, store carts, gas pumps and more.
