1.5 hr scheduled at 2pm- multiple incisional incarcerated hernia procedure. Three days in the hospital and then back home to my kitties who will be so excited to have momma snuggling for a few days in bed.
I'm nervous, but happy at the same time.
Wish me luck, Loungers. Love all y'all!

(11,778 posts)next to me almost all the time, and so affectionate. My 18lb kitty always has his left paw touching or tapping me. He's Siamese, and always fills me in on the day's shenanigans. I love them both and will miss them something awful. Luckily, my Kindle is full of sweet kitty pictures!

Best wishes

(11,778 posts)The bulge has grown in the last month and is easily as large as a new born baby's head. I've been able to work up until yesterday, light duty-no lifting and wrapped super tight. Very painful and of course my digestive system is a complete mess. Walking any distance is a no. I am so happy tomorrow is the beginning of a brand new day. Spring and summer are around the corner, and I am yearning to be in my gardens and at the river.

(6 posts)Had surgery this afternoon on my right foot. Ivie had five surgeries on my feet during the past three years, including a trimalleolar fx, followed by a ankle reconstruction. Each surgery required six hours. I was convinced Id never would walk again. pT was extensive. Ivie been in a boot like forever. My cat becomes very gentle when she sees the big cast. I walk with a mild limp and use a cane outdoors.
Wishing you all the best...sending prayers.

(16,397 posts)Mind the docs. and recover quickly. Your kittehs will want to give you extra cuddles, but don't let them jump on your abdomen!
A gentle hug for you.

(12,418 posts)My wife had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago with a clot complication last week. Doing fine now but next knee replacement is a bit delayed. 10 weeks of recovery is now 12 to 14. I am exhausted, she, as a nurse, is now the patient, and we are both enjoying the longest time we have spent with each other 24/7.
