Storage Wars vs Pawn Stars.

Okay, in Storage Wars they determine their profits based on a rough quote from an "expert" in the field. In Pawn Stars they always tell the person selling the item that they can only get the top price at an auction, but then they would have to throw in the ten percent auction fee.

So my question, can we assume that the prices in Storage Wars are inflated?

Value is only what you can get someone to pay for an item. So if you do storage units and are going to put merchandise on the shelf and wait the value would be higher than "I'm in Vegas and ought of cash...I never liked this watch anyway".
