This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Yonnie3 (a host of the The DU Lounge forum).
50 minutes after Mueller's statement, no comment about it in .."Latest News Forum" Only comments that the statement will be made. So here is the point: for fifty minutes after the statement itself, all the discussion about it took place in ...General Discussion....and ..NOT in ...Latest Breaking News.

(5,190 posts)have an aversion to using LBN, because, 'in the end, there can only be one' report on an item, and all others get locked.

(60,536 posts)Our social forum. Relax with your friends and talk about off-topic stuff. The Lounge is supposed to be a friendly, welcoming place for everyone. No cliquish behavior. No drama. No political arguments. No whining about DU.

(38,454 posts)For example. I saw a story about a rape in India, that was in the news section of CNN. Yes, it was late news, but I posted it in... Editorials and Other Articles with a warning. Who knows? I know.."The shadow knows."
....Once it was late news, but it was kind of .."Weird"...so, I put that one (don't remember which one) up in "Weird News"......Yes, the "shadow knows"

(38,958 posts)My posting tends to stay to GD, Primaries, State and some of the more narrowly focused forums. I wont use LBN under any circumstances.

(14,118 posts)Everything I want/need to see is there so I saw all the posts concerning the Mueller statement that were posted originally in the General Discussion forum. Do I have a magic computer? I don't think so.
The Latest/Latest Threads menu selection provides all posts from all forums in a selected timeframe, so what's the beef?
