Long time DUer, achtung_circus, passed away last year. I was friends with him on FB but he was not an active user. something made me look at his page last night and I saw that he had passed away. He last posted here on DU a couple of times back in 2017 (once to me ) but was having a lot of health problems and died Feb 3, 2018.

He was a kind and very smart person. Played professional hockey at one time, if I remember correctly, and was an animal services officer in Canada. we had some conversations about cattle and horses years ago. I feel so bad that I didn't know about this until now.
