(14,144 posts)what sounds like bowling balls being dropped from great height into empty dump trucks, a mysterious, distant phenomenon I pick up occasionally during the day or night.
I keep thinking I'll jump in the car and home in on the source to see what it is, but I'm too lazy despite my curiosity. My neighbors have all shrugged when I've asked. I might never know.
