I saw once on a show that elephants can signal each other from miles and miles away by grinding their back teeth(?) in such a way that it produces a Extra Low Freq. (ELF) Wave that other elephants can pick up w their enormous ears. I think the show likened the ELF Waves to how we communicate w submarines covertly, deep at sea.
