Just received something unsolicited from ebay. I looked at my ebay account and I haven't ordered anything, nor charged. I looked up the seller's name and found nothing.
It's cloth material with a funky tropical print.
What do I do now?

(102,579 posts)and ask if they want to pay for you to send it back. Some sellers have computer databases for their customers. It may have been an error in selecting the right buyer/address by them or someone that helps them with shipping....

(46,787 posts)Is a seller and seller store name the same thing?
hlthe2b
(102,579 posts)if you received an EBAY invoice, see if the ebay item number/listing number is included and search on that.
Did you recognize the seller's name from a previous purchase perhaps long ago?

(102,579 posts)To search for items by seller:
Click the Advanced Search link located at the top of most eBay pages.
On the left side of the page, click the By seller link.
Enter the seller's user ID. If you're not sure of the seller's user ID, select the Show close and exact user ID matches option.
Click the Search button.

Just as an FYI, eBay sells branded shipping supplies and provides some as perks to sellers:

(4,685 posts)When I was an eBay seller I made mistakes and was saved by the honesty of others. Once I sold two rare books and sent them to the wrong buyers. Both were gracious enough to send the books to the right person, and I refunded enough to each to cover shipping.
Someone is waiting for that purchase.

(3,473 posts)It could just have been a mistake on the house number if it's someone else's name, a quick Google search might tell you if it is someone down the street. If it was in your name, that is very strange.

"I got home one day and I've got a package on my front porch from eBay -- which I did not order," Jill Carlson told FOX6's Contact 6.
Carlson thought it was a mix up -- but the next day, when she found a notice telling her to pick up another package, she got suspicious and spoke with the post office's clerk.
"Is there a way to stop packages from coming to my house? There is something going on," Carlson said.
As it turns out, thieves stole Carlson's identity, opened an eBay account in her name and began ordering online with the intent of picking up the packages before she had a chance to retrieve them.
"Just by chance, they missed two," Carlson said.
