(25,937 posts)How many out there love fried chicken the next day - cold? Don't get me wrong - I'll risk blisters in my mouth for newly-fried chicken, but it's good cold too.

(9,265 posts)Guilty pleasure - my grandkids love (fried) chicken fingers from various restaurants and they never eat them all. Cold the next day for lunch - yum!

(16,858 posts)The original restaurant was in literally a shotgun shack outside Memphis. It was voted by GQ magazine as worthy of "fly there on a moments notice to eat", only one of a couple American restaurants to make that list. The original resturant sadly, burned down shortly after they opened an expansion in Memphis. It's still just as good as it ever was, though!! Crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside!

(12,132 posts)I've been to a few places here in FL that are serving that now and I find I really like it. Would LOVE to try the original. I think I've seen Gus's on the FoodTV channel.

(16,858 posts)There's a few places here in Nashville that claim to be the "home of hot chicken". "Prince's" is the oldest and best for my taste, Hattie B's is probably the most famous, but the "hot chicken" craze is so "hot" right now that it's popping up all over Nashville.

(16,858 posts)And never heard of "hot chicken" as a thing until recently. I knew Prince's as a great chicken place on the "bad" side of town. Now this whole thing has blown up as an entire industry!
