I was at the grocery store and went to the coffee aisle, heading directly to where the Peet's was and glommed a package of Major Dickason's Blend whole beans just as I realized the person stocking the shelf was not wearing a grocery store uniform. She was wearing a Peet's Coffee uniform and she highly approved of my choice.

I realize this is not a highly important post. Just one of life's nice little moments.

1. Peets

Caught my eye because I’m a big Peet’s fan. When I was in Afghanistan in the green zone, or whatever it’s called, at any rate mostly stationary, one of the big deals was to order in your favorite coffee. It was almost a competition. Being from PDX Peet’s was my hands down favorite. But for some reason ordering a bag of beans and fresh grinding and brewing just wasn’t close to getting it back home. Just made me think of that when you mentioned Peet’s.

Stuff came quick. As a matter of fact you could get stuff from Walmart in about a week, as opposed to letters from home which could take 3-4 weeks.

2. I love PEET's and luckilly one of their coffee houses is 1.5 miles from me

I'm there almost every weekend enjoying my extra shot Americano.

I was chatting up a couple waiting in a line for something. I have my PEETs cup and the guy mentioned that he's not manly enough to drink PEETs.....gave me a real laugh. Apparently he doesn't know that dark roast coffee has less caffine than light or medium roast. Anyway, I guess I'm a real man!
