1. not sure what rule it would specifically violate, but I will relate something that happened last

year where a poster indicated his relative, (brother I think), was in a terrible car accident, and the family couldn't afford the Medical Bills, and were soliciting help through go fund me. Someone pointed out flaws in the story, and it turned out that it was an attempt to get funds based on a false story. I don't remember exactly how it was found out to be bogus, but I suspect that is why it may have been removed because there would be no way to verify its authenticity.

Please understand, I am not questioning its authenticity, only providing a possible explanation why it was removed

with her dog, other DUers trying to help and a big mess.

I don't know this member but the request seemed genuine and I didn't think we hid those unless it was obviously a scam.

People are suffering and it can be so damn hard to get back out of a hole. DUers can do what they want, but giving another member a hide (their 4th!) over asking for help seem pretty mean-spirited, especially this time of year. Shame on the alerter, and shame on the jury!

but I shudder to think of people getting help taken away based on the lack of reading skills and other errors demonstrated by that one. I have no problem with people checking things out or even of being suspicious. but for fuck sake, think about the trouble you might be causing a legitimate case and FUCKING BE ACCURATE.
