My dad was a Pearl Harbor survivor,
and my husband was an FDNY 9/11 survivor.
Today is a day I count my blessings.

2. My dad is long gone,
but I have a great photo of him as a young soldier in Hawaii in 1939. He had a full head of hair and a HARLEY (!!!). He was awarded four purple hearts, saw action in Europe as well as in the Pacific, and was transported back to NY on the luxury liner The Queen Mary which had been converted into a hospital ship.
My husband is well, thanks mostly to the efforts of former Senator Clinton who fought for medical monitoring and at-cost medication for first responders who wound up with unusual 9/11 medical conditions that were not covered by the original insurance legislation. |

5. True heroes both of them.
To think what your Dad and mine, Navy WWII, fought for and then to see the baboon in the WH. Disgrace to all veterans.
