I've kept vodka in the freezer before, and schnapps, but it never occurred to me to try it with whisky.

Anywho, vote tallied.

That's 2 votes. We're on a roll!

I like your username - do you have a connection the Emerald Isle? It's a long way, I know that.

Boy, you're right about the pubs. In some countries, the locals take some time to warm up to you, if at all. In the Irish pubs I visited, you'd think I was their long lost brother. They also were not shy about sharing their opinions on American politics!

In a pub! I cannot even imagine something like that here! I experienced that in a small town, though I have no memory of that happening in a Dublin pub. However, having no memory of it does not mean it didn’t happen!

to glass of whiskey can have a dramatic effect on the flavor profile. Something about reducing the solubility of the oil soluble flavor compounds. I have not tried it, but I think they said it can do wonderful things to a smokey whiskey.

They used a straw, capping the top with a finger, to get a bit of water from a glass. Then added two drops to a two ounce pour of the whiskey. I'll try it sometime, but don't like drinking alone, so my chances are limited.

I am currently on the wagon because I need to lose about 10 pounds, but I look forward to jumping back off soon enough!
