I drove all night...
well, 2 hours to Grayling and 2 hours back to Grand Rapids... to adopt my sweet baby Luna...

I've had four cats in my life and it just happens that three of them have been black. And that includes my Felix who I found as a tiny kitten three years ago in a grocery store parking lot. He's grown into a beautiful cat, too... 
lol, I too, have had four cats in my life, Luna has a sister, a white fluffy cat that I brought in from the cold last December, sleeping and crying to get it, so I brought her in, her name is Angel 
. I love the name Felix, that was my Dads name.
It wasn't my usual grocery store, just happened to stop there one night on my way home and I spotted the kitten on my way out. They were doing constriction at the time, very dangerous, but he obviously knew his way around already. We had a tough time catching him - I couldn't have managed it without the help of an employee who was leaving the store and his wife who came to pick him up, they were equally determined and it took us awhile. The vet said he was about seven weeks. *sigh*
And I'm not good at picking names, I've mostly adopted older pets who already had them. But I finally decided on Felix because of the song - he's "a wonderful, wonderful cat!" He answers to his name. And I love that it was your Dad's name! My dog is Jack, and that was my Dad's name, too... 
And those are very cool names - I probably have a tough time choosing names because, aside from Felix and Jack, all my other pets already had names since they were older - except for the cocker spaniel I grew up with. That puppy didn't have a name for awhile since everyone in my family disagreed. And Felix does have some white on him, a tiny patch on his neck and one white foot, LOL. And I'm fortunate that Felix loves Jack - and since Jack was fostered at the Animal Emergency Clinic, he has no issues with anyone - except sometimes with Felix if he gets too aggressive.
Said that one asshole that seems to be at every job everyone has ever had.
She's soooo pretty! Congrats on the new family addition! Well worth the drive.
