2. War is a Racket
I spent 33 years and 4 months in active service as a member of our country's most agile military force--the Marine Corps. I served in all commissioned ranks from second lieutenant to Major General. And during that period I spent most of my time being a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and for the bankers. In short, [b style="color:red"]I was a racketeer for capitalism. I suspected I was part of a racket all the time. Now I am sure of it. Like all members of the military profession I never had an original thought until I left the service.

5. Yeah but Sempere Fidelius and medals ya know.
Young people like the hardware they get to play with too. Shooting big stuff is cool and worth dying for, no? All for one and one for all and we're bud's for life, you know?

8. Not So, Ya Know?
When and where did you serve? In what branch? You are stereotyping people you don't know, i.e my wife. She does want to come home, but could care less about playing with hardware. Buds for life. You obviously have no clue. Shooting big stuff is not worth dying for; your people are.

In 2013, not 2014. I have hope that troop withdrawal WILL begin in 2013.

PABigDaddyDemocrat isn't ONLY a clever online handle.
I won't waste time trying to convince you that I love my kids more than anyone else even though I believe it's true. That love usurps all other things and concepts at this point. I can't even imagine a time when I would entertain their entre into conflict of any more truck than might take place over a candy or toy. I'll watch this again after work and let these tears of love flow freely. I will hope that all of our troops come home, and soon. Here's to the Peace. May it increase. |
