This wasn't Kevin McCarthy's private property.

It wasn't his to give to a specific individual. "But but but I PROMISED!" is no defense for this.

If he wanted it released to the press, it should have been released to the press.

This the crux of the problem and the cross to which I hope McCarthy is nailed, sooner rather than later.
