reason they couldn't wait until some other department finished processing their prisoners. It's not about doing their job - it's about who has the power, and no one want to cede ground to anyone else because they might lose face. This is a prime example of what is wrong with the American police system. it's not about justice or professionalism - it is about who is the big bad tough guy with the authority to do whatever they want to.
