This is where it all started. Putin got pissed because of the Ukrainian call for freedom. Slava Ukraini!! Heroyam Slava!! Today many remember the hero's of the revolution!! They paid the ultimate price for freedom!!

On edit: If anyone wishes to learn more about the Euromaidan revolution, this documentary was posted by Netflix on YouTube. It's just over 1-1/2 hours, so it is a good weekend watch. Warning: This was a battle in the streets, there is violence and bloodshed.

the conflict. I met someone who was following things closelyl because his girlfriend had connections there, but all I could get from him was essentially "Putin is a madman". And although he was liberal, I knew that there had to be more of the story than the typical American view of any history of a subject beyond 10 minutes ago being irrelevant.

By the way, I love that Grant quote.
