It's getting to the point that I think people are going to these pep rallies just for the sideshow acts, listening for buzzwords and catch phrases in TFG;s word salad is wearing a little thin, even though RWNJs tend to cling to the familiar long after other people have pronounced it hackneyed and threadbare and have moved on.

Given their druthers, it looks like most people chose football. Both venues had a lot of organized cheering but football lacked the undercurrent of spite and cruelty.

It was very well done, no big surprise since it was from Ken Burns. But it's also heartwrenching since we know the history - there's a lot of footage from the time. And Ken Burns is going to be on with Stephen Colbert tomorrow.
