try as I might I could not find 1 African-american face earning a living. Oh never mind the times were........different and this was 1954. Hate to be a curmudgeon, but in these times I immediately have red light warnings. And to think many watched entertained while bitter "strange fruit" was swaying in the wind...down the road in my area. But just forget it, I'm just a cynic when it comes to fantasy vs real.In the American heritage dictionary, a curmudgeon is described as a niggard...anyone knows the origin of that word? I do and it's passed off as describing a miserly or stingy person. Yet the term emotes a very uncomfortable feeling within me seeing as how a very offensive word is in its expression.
All this is just an observation. No offence meant toward any and all.
