This campaign is the first time in his life, he has ever REALLY been questioned or Challenged on anything he has said. He didn't have to do it to get through school, he NEVER had to do it at work (he's always been the one to question others) and he didn't REALLY have to do it as Gov. of Mass, because if he adopted the more moderate position on anything, well, that was fine because most of the "republicans" in Mass. don't seem quite as crazy as some of their party brethern (in other words, he could get away with moderation in Blue Mass.)
I think he was not peronsally prepared for the level intensity this campaign would bring him (nothing in his life was a forge for the kind of character needed for this kind of test), and it damn sure didn't help any that he staffed his campaign staff with twits left over from the last Republican Administration.
In a way, it kind of makes me feel bad for him that his life has been so--SOFT--that he does not NEED the kind of iron that would see another, otherwise lesser man, through to Victory.
And then I realize that he IS that soft, because he was born Rich, will die Rich, and has never in between known what is is to worry that there might be a time when you're NOT Rich, and what that feels like.

Fuck Him. Hes' not a bad person, I guess, but I want a President who WORKED for it, rather than BOUGHT it.

I am so ready for this asshat to just disappear into ignoble obscurity, a fate Romney so richly deserves. To throw the Romney rallies Teabagger chants dissing President Obama back in their faces, "HEY, ROMNEY, FIVE MORE DAYS, FIVE MORE DAYS, FIVE MORE DAYS…!"

Won't it be absolutely freaking awesome to be able to turn on a TV, computer, pad, or smartphone and not be forced to see that smarmy, sleazy, lying POS and never again hear the creepiest laugh on the planet? I, for one, can't wait. Even though I couldn't really afford it, I splurged on a small bottle of Bailey's Chocolate Mint liqueur which is stashed in my freezer, just waiting for me to crack it open hopefully about 11:01 p.m. EDT just like 2008.

Let's keep working! I'm scheduled to make calls starting tomorrow evening through Tuesday because I am physically unable to walk more than 200 feet without crushing pain coursing down my right leg (a Shingles parting gift down my sciatic nerve--everybody get a Shingles vaccination--it came out too late to help me. Shingles pain is excruciating & post herpetic neuralgia is devastating. End of my PSA.)

BTW, apologies to actual banty roosters.

13. He's also lying on the doctrine of the LDS
Fri Nov 2, 2012, 01:37 AM

Joseph Smith specifically predicted that New Jerusalem will be built in Missouri by Mormons, and a Temple would be established where God and Jesus will dwell on Earth "within this generation". Then ensues the millenium. (According to Revelation, New Jerusalem will descend from heaven, and will not have a Temple "as God is the temple thereof." It would also be about 375 feet high, and made of gold and jewels. Smith also said it would happen "within this generation," but, of course, he got shot to death and all the Mormons of that era are dead.) I think Mitt here is trying to combine Mormon theology with Evangelical ideas about the last days, as they falsely (in my opinion) believe that Daniel's 70th week will be fulfilled at that point, with a new temple being established in Jerusalem and a 7 year Armegeddon period. (The ancients believed this was fulfilled in the Roman-Jewish war which, by the way, lasted about 7 years. Only the moderns have invented this idea of a 7 year tribulation period, probably because they are ignorant of history.)

This is not the first time I've seen Mitt lie or distort Mormon doctrine on the campaign trail. He was also asked about other Mormon beliefs and specifically rejected them, saying we should go to the LDS website to learn more. Their Prophet has gone on live TV and claimed the LDS does not know anything about God once being a man, but yet publishes teaching manuals specifically saying that God was once a man.

Many of you, who do not know the minutia of Mormon theology, would be very surprised about how different the leadership within the LDS is when speaking to a non-Mormon audience. Perhaps later I'll post a thread demonstrating the lies of their current prophet, comparing his statements in public and the LDS statements in private. It's an eye opener.

I say this because I know as much about Mormonism at Mitt does. I was born and raised Mormon, and even went on a mission. I rejected that shit almost 20 years ago. Mormons believe that ONLY THEY are going to Heaven. If you are not Mormon, you are not Equal to them PERIOD! That is their View!. I know this for a fact because when I was as a youngster, I was taught by my parents and my church to believe we were better than everyone else! Mitt Romney if a Mother Fucking, piece of Lying shit!!! Watching that video makes me sick. I just had to rant.

Now, in a very Orwellian Fashion, he is re-writing history, like he's done countless times. This is scary on many levels. He seems to think that we don't remember or can watch the tape of his past pronouncements, and that he can get away with his friggin' lies. Plus he does this crap in a pushy, bully fashion, like he was, I don't know, maybe forcing a hair cut of a younger boy that Willard had "questions" about. He belongs in the WhiteHouse like flesh-eating bacteria belongs in each of us. NOT. Crush this lyin' blowhard, then collectively forget he and Lyin' Ryans pathetic asses. Yeah, into the dustbins of lost memory...

Most people are resilient against adversity. The true test is how people behave when they are on top. Does a person talk down to support staff, waiters, etc.?

There are a number of people who retain their humanity and are humble. Unfortunately, lesser people such as Romney get exposed as selfish assholes.
