the Russian military is really getting a thrashing well above and beyond what most of us thought they’d get when the invasion started.

When this war began, I thought that the Russian military would have rolled thru most of Ukraine in the first couple of weeks and be on their way to Moldova, Bulgaria, and the Polish border. Instead, to my surprise, they’ve been run out of Kyiv and the Ukrainians are pressing them hard on the southeast.

On the one hand, it’s not a repeat of the 1939 invasion of Poland. OTOH, it doesn’t seem to be the Greeks chasing out Mussolini’s army, either.
