GOP Eager To Punish Defectors On infrastructure; Gosar Death Fantasies Go Unaddressed - TRMS

Rachel Maddow points out the bizarre incentives in the Republican Party where members who voted against an infrastructure bill that is popular with constituents and will bring benefits to their districts are clobbered by local press, but those who voted for it are targeted for punishment by a party that has nothing to say about Paul Gosar sharing a video of a cartoon version of himself killing another member of Congress. How does one become “a made man” in the modern-day GOP?

Here’s the difference: the GOP plasters its face all over the news bragging how they threaten non-compilers. The Mafia was smart enough to publicly say it didn’t even exist.

Yet we had the most offensive and hateful candidate in history and yet there were people who loved him for it.

The thing is, they have to be pretty bad if he's fighting so hard. And anything relating to his administration is part of the historical record, they are not "his."

We are in la la land since Trump was elected. Will common sense ever return to this country? I don't think so.

we had the chance to address a lot of inequity and 'rot' in this country, and we decided that we had to go back to that biased, classist, pre-pandemic society. So, since we decided to continue to ignore common sense, we will get what we deserve. And, being Americans, we will whine about it even as we let it happen.
