Coronavirus Vaccine Update With Paul Offit - JAMA videoCoronavirus Vaccine Update With Paul Offit Streamed live on Dec 2, 2020 (30-minutes) With the Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus vaccines reportedly under review at the US FDA for emergency use authorization (EUA), Paul A. JAMA's YouTube video page: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheJAMANetwork/videos JAMA's main web site coronavirus page: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Link: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/pages/coronavirus-alert Fall 2020 is seeing continued global spread of COVID-19 with uncertainties about the effects of school reopenings on transmission and the prospects for dual COVID-19 and influenza outbreaks heading into colder months. Vaccine trials are heading into phases 2 and 3, and the FDA’s earlier-year reliance on emergency use authorizations (EUAs) under perceived political pressures to deliver pandemic solutions is raising concerns about the integrity of approval processes for vaccines potentially offered to millions of otherwise healthy people.
Browse the JAMA Network COVID-19 collection below, including Q&A's with NIAID's Anthony Fauci, an interactive map of the outbreak courtesy of The Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, and past publications on vaccine development, infection control, and public health preparedness. This update video and JAMA links were cross-posted to the Health Forum, along with a video primer on vaccine development. KY.......... ![]()

2. Screw Paul Offit
His name should be Paul PR-Offit.
" At our April 6th autism hearing, Dr. Paul Offit disclosed that he holds a patent on a rotavirus vaccine and receives grant money from Merck to develop this vaccine. He also disclosed that he is paid by the pharmaceutical industry to travel around the country and teach doctors that vaccines are safe. Dr. Offit is a member of the CDC's advisory committee and voted on three rotavirus issues, including making the recommendation of adding the rotavirus vaccine to the Vaccines for Children program." https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CHRG-106hhrg73042/html/CHRG-106hhrg73042.htm "Then there's Paul Offit, perhaps the most widely-quoted defender of vaccine safety. He's gone so far as to say babies can tolerate "10,000 vaccines at once." This is how Offit described himself in a previous interview: "I'm the chief of infectious disease at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and a professor of pediatrics at Penn's medical school," he said. Offit was not willing to be interviewed on this subject but like others in this CBS News investigation, he has strong industry ties. In fact, he's a vaccine industry insider. Offit holds in a $1.5 million dollar research chair at Children's Hospital, funded by Merck. He holds the patent on an anti-diarrhea vaccine he developed with Merck, Rotateq, which has prevented thousands of hospitalizations. And future royalties for the vaccine were just sold for $182 million cash. Dr. Offit's share of vaccine profits? Unknown." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-independent-are-vaccine-defenders/ |
