(143 posts)oh no! a man bought his wife exercise equipment, that she appreciated. so now it is sexist to encourage our significant other to take care of themselves.
jackasses calling is sexist, hey how about this? "honey we can exercise and be fit and be healthy, live longer and have more years together."
but if you look at that ad as "you need to drop a few pounds" perhaps the problem is with you.
and on the other hand, if someone is out of shape, and we care about them, should we not encourage them to get in shape?
if someone you cared for smokes, don't you encourage them to quit? so if someone is lazy and eats poorly, why is it bad to urge them to change their unhealthy lifestyle?
