I live in a state in Australia where there is an old mining town, the dust, the dirt, the air is contaminated with lead. And probably silver and zinc too.

I've taught students from that town. They tend to be . . . . different. Intellectually many years behind their biological age.
But physically attractive.
I call it the 'Retarded Angel' syndrome. And it is permanent.

especially in the young, the most vulnerable. That's so sad about kids in your area and thanks for sharing.
