I haven't watched these clips you posted, but I watched all of it when it aired and the audience was openly laughing at him. He went on national television and made a complete fool out of himself.

I passed it on to someone else on DU with the notation "That idiot Adam Kinzinger." I'm totally baffled as to why Colbert had him on. But I make it a practice to post political guests, even posted "The Mooch."

IMHO the more these fools get exposed the better

And Colbert is very good at letting them do it to themselves... he just gives them more rope Lol!

He's had a lot of Democrats on, including those running for office. But we know what he thinks and who he agrees with, so he just may be having the idiots on to show the country what they are. Everyone complains about Bill Maher when he has RWers on, but he may just be doing the same thing...

I felt like Colbert was acting like the “corporate shill” when he interviewed her. He soft pedaled this clown, because he wants him, and other repuKKKes, to be willing to come on his show; fine. But the way he questioned Gifford honestly made me feel like she was on fox...except fox actually treated her far better.

There is a video out on YouTube with her interview with Colbert, and you can understand how Gifford is being suppressed by corporate America. Sad to watch. I think a lot of Colbert, but he knows which side his bread is buttered on. Subtracting from his integrity as each day passes.
