(21,630 posts)Certainly not Bitchy Mitchy - on whom removal would depend, unfortunately.
The man's middle name is fraud; his in-laws, literally outlaws.

(22,795 posts)I believe impeachment is the only Constitutional provision for removing a president from office for criminal acts. The House of Reps has to vote to impeach, and the Senate has to vote to remove the president from office.

(2,596 posts)The framers believed in the concept that a political position was an honorable one, and that only honorable men would be entrusted by the voters at that time. As such, they believed that an honorable man holding office would do his duty, and if the evidence supported the argument for his Impeachment, they would convict and the Senate would uphold the conviction by voting to remove the POTUS.

(397 posts)Democrats are going to have to hold multiple hearings and investigations immediately to expose all the bullshit that has occurred. They need to put Republicans in congress on the spot, so that they have no option but to join in an impeachment or kiss their careers goodbye. - many despise Trump already and their self serving attitudes should make them easier to 'flip'.
Once exposed, it will also be difficult to argue that Trump was not an illegitimate president. Under those circumstances, it will be hard to argue that any of his policies or appointments should stand.
An illegitimate president cannot - for instance - be allowed to appoint a Supreme Court judge.
