(14,027 posts)was fine by me, no matter that the "food" was a bit lacking in the flavor department. Not having to grab whatever was in front of you (even if it was just the peas) in hopes of getting something before all was snarfed up by the faster grabbers at the table...
I was extra thrilled when they later added a dessert section to the metal tray. The main and sides portions were reduced to make room, but man, having that dessert right there...waiting for you, no matter how slowly you ate...HEAVEN.

(7,400 posts)that means I would basically eat anything (except liver, oysters and mushrooms). As far as the TV dinners, I liked the turkey, roast beef and salisbury steak. I got sick once after eating the fried chicken dinner, although I don't think it was related because everyone else was unaffected. Regardless I never could eat that one again.
I probably haven't had a TV dinner in at least 30 years, maybe more. But thanks for the OP. Brought back some memories.

(549 posts)I thought they should have had more cranberry sauce.
But I liked pot pies better - "Were you poor? Did you eat chicken pot pie?" -Jackie O, "The House of Yes." My response would have been, "Yes I ate chicken pot pie, you disturbed incestuous woman, and I LIKED it. And I STILL like it. In fact, I may have some tonight."
