3. I've admired her since her days on the Miami-Dade school board.

She was strident in her attempts to de-sexualize school cheerleader squads and the objectivization of the girls in the squads by eliminating the “down and dirty” highly sexualized routines, that were similar to female rap dancers in some of the more nasty videos, by creating guidelines for Miami-Dade school cheerleading squads.
