6. Cool! I ran into them just after that and

became a fan of the group. I've always loved and admired good a cappella singers but they take it to a whole new level.

10. Def...

Their arrangements are out of this world! Definitely some of my favorite artists a cappella or not...

11. Absolutely! They're very talented...

I'm not super easy to impress but being able to take a familiar song and make it fresh while remaining true to the original writer's muse is a rare gift. I'd say this cover of Imagine is my favorite so far with their cover of Cohen's Hallelujah a close second.

7. Yeah, their FB feed is how I learned this...

and a few commentators weren't happy that the group was being 'political'.

I remember the uproar in some churches when Lennon released Imagine. I like to think he'd have liked this Pentatonix cover.

8. Remember when WKRP did a show that referenced "Imagine"?

With a Jerry Falwell type preacher. That part starts at about 13:45

9. Wow, thank you! That brought back some memories...

I loved that show back in the day and this censorship episode/story line is a classic, although I think the Turkey drop episode is better known.

Unfortunately I also knew fundies ministers like that a bit too well eons ago and that actor really nailed how they often are, sanctimonious smirk and all.
