2. My retired military husband (career Air Force) and I...
...heard a clip of this while in the car this morning. The pRezident goes on to say that, "We need to start winning wars."
My husband barked, "That's stupid, godamned bullshit!" We need to stop waging fucking GD wars! |

6. He would run and hide and quiver like a tin roof in a tornado if he ever had to
deal with any physical confrontation without his bodyguards.
Being the gigantic chickenshit he is, is exactly why we have such a big problem with him having a military and nukes at his disposal. I think W did it for gain, and to some degree to play Army, but this asshole will do it just to get back at someone over a slight about the size of his hands or something stupid like that. |

Edited to add: it's easy for him to play soldier, he'll be in a nice safe bunker. "Great warrior. Wars not make one great." Yoda |

17. Ya know that Einstein fella, who we can all (except maybe Drumpf) agree knew something about some
stuff once said "I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."
That guy's been right about a bunch of things so far, might be a good idea not to find out if he's right about this. Something else to consider, just exactly what would the orange one consider a win? Will we be occupying other countries? Will we nuke them into glass covered parking lots? What would a 21st Century win look like if we go to war and how does he plan to keep Russia and China from jumping in AND why the fuck isn't he being asked these questions and having his freakin' feet held to the fire until he answers them? Do I sound a little pissed off? Damn straight skippy, we got a bunch of young people in the world who deserve to inherit something other than a post apocalyptic dystopian world and this lazy, ignorant, megalomaniac of a moron seems dead set on giving them one. Thanks, I needed to get that off my chest. |

With the military? Like thinking you're going to fundamentally change a difficult neighborhood with the police force. Not.going.to.happen.

19. Is he aware of the rules of engagement our Soldiers were given in Iraq?
If we felt threatened in any way, lethal force was completely authorized and used without hesitation. I was an Infantry Platoon Leader for 13 months in Iraq and I know first hand what I'm talking about. I hate to say it, but more civilians were killed than I care to admit, we reported to our chain of command as they happened, and we never got in trouble.
In combat, our military wins, hands down, always. It gets tricky when the goal is nation building and not unconditional surrender or complete anhilation of the opposing force. Dead civilians quickly destroys the trust we are hoping to build with the Iraqi people. With no trust, we have zero credibility with the people and the government we are attempting to prop up also has no credibility with the people it is hopefully attempting to govern. An iron fist is not what you need in Iraq. 14 years of wasted lives and quagmire can attest to that. |
