... it seems ludicrous have to say this, but rape by definition is at the very minimum non-consensual. It is a clear tautology linguistically. Furthermore it implies that there us some kind of consensual rape. We don't usually hear the phrase "non-consensual robbery".
I'm being sarcastic here, but people being robbed have this "odd" habit of handing their wallets over when they have a gun shoved in their face.
Incidentally, I'm not implying that anyone here is intentionally misusing the word/phrase. In case there is any misunderstanding.
