(111,408 posts)and no one will post their puff pieces on Putin.
However, smart people understand what editorial bias is and when a source is and is not to be trusted.
RT has some great stuff. So does Al Jazeera. You just need to know their bias.
The US media, not so much unless you are absolutely obsessed with horse races and Kardashians.
there is no US media so we must sift through other countries propaganda in order to get some real news.

(4,642 posts)from 12 noon to 3PM EST on free speech TV, his youtube channel, his website, SiriusXM, ext... I appreciate his progressive views and teachings. I also enjoyed having brunch with Bernie every Friday via his show for about 10 years. Just because Thom uses RT as another source of communicating doesn't give anyone the right to make judgement against his character. We no longer have a fair and balanced news service in this country and most local radio stations are owned by conservative conglomerates. DU seems to have some members who THINK they are progressive but are just as anal as any republican.

(8 posts)I am extremely tired of the constant and immature attacks on Thom and on RT in general. RT has some good shows that are definitely not putting out propaganda for Russia. If you want propaganda, go to the WA Post and the NY Times - they got us into the Iraq war.

(4,642 posts)I was tired of the constant attacks also. As a Ham radio op and shortwave radio listener for over 40 years I am used to getting my news from sources outside the country and can pretty well filter out the propaganda from the real news. Getting the news straight from the country where its happening is much better then the canned corporate news in this country. Its much easier now days with the internet but I still use my receiver quite often to tune in to other countries english news broadcasts.
