(2,539 posts)Yet there's no increase in earthquake activity. It is kept under control by regulation as to when, where, and how much. Oklahoma had the Dust Bowl because they over farmed. They still farm in Oklahoma without the dust bowl effect. There obviously need to be regulations.

The waste water from fracking is salt water, very briny. Unusable for anything.

(20,587 posts)They are just taking the profit and not paying for the damage and losses the residents have to pay for. They should start a class action suit to get the home repairs paid for.

(20,453 posts)Oklahoma's exponential incidents of earthquake, what CAUSED them, and any real solutions for the industry that became the state's "main resource" were never tied to what might bring OK out of the abyss...
They HAVE alternatives. These industries MUST be accompanied into the state... Solar, Wind, Geothermal...
BUT.THEY.WERE.NEVER.MENTIONED...
