Related: About this forum*CNN: SANDERS WINS, Western Illinois Univ. Picks Presidents with 100% Accuracy Since 1975
CNN interviews Dr. Rick Hardy, co-creator of the Western Illinois University mock election. The discussion is after the 2016 race prediction was released in Nov. 2015.
As Dr. Hardy explains, the process is the main emphasis, thousands of students are involved, and their insights, research and results have been 100% correct and unblemished for 40 years, since 1975 when the program was first started.
The results of the 2016 presidential election were published in Nov. 2015. The prediction was that *Sen. Bernie Sanders will be the next President of the United States.
Jeb Bush, the study's 2016 GOP nominee, was selected through a brokered convention v. Trump, as Dr. Hardy explains.
I'm going with the students on this one.

(3,557 posts)I'm an unabashed Sanders' supporter, but I've seen a number of these prediction things floating around for a number of months that all claim to have been 100% correct over ___ number of years.
I've only ever paid attention to the ones touting Bernie Sanders will win, but are there any others out there pointing that Hillary or any other candidate will win?

(41,132 posts)through expert sources and not once have I ever seen or heard any prediction reports except this one. And never anything regarding Hillary or others in the race. It would have been all over M$M.

(145,242 posts)Under the rules for the Democratic Party, delegates are awarded proportionately. This silly but ignorant poll has Sanders winning 100% of the delegates in most states
The only way that a candidate can win 100% of the delegates in a state is if no other candidate gets 15% either in a district or statewide. The idiots who did this mock election do not understand the rules of the Democratic Primary
This mock election was a joke and is less reliable than hypothetical match up polls
