(8,175 posts)for some reason this one didn't work that way, but under the video is the word "share". If you click that it gives you an option to embed. Copy and paste the address that comes up for embed. That worked for me.
I don't understand it any better than you do.

(2,212 posts)... and I was able to embed the video simply by putting the video's URL on a line by itself. Below is what I used. Note that I removed the https://, which is optional, and I've inserted a * after the you to prevent the text from embedding the video here:
you*tu.be/vm0UNn7tJ5o
Cutting and pasting that line into your post (remember to remove the asterisk!) should allow you to do the embed.
I have heard that the DU software doesn't take embeds from some tablets, including Apple iPads, so if you're not on a desktop computer, that could be the problem.
Hope this helps.

(26,624 posts)I used the you*tu.be/vm0UNn7tJ5o but removed the asterisk like you suggested and it worked.

(6,133 posts)I had seen this one before. It strikes me because I'm amazed at the simple wisdom of children at times. I experienced it with my oldest.
We lived in Ohio at the time, and our clay soil was pushing at the foundation of our house, pushing in the block. I was told we needed to dig down to the foundation and replace it with stone. We did not have much money and I dug with a shovel while my young children played in the yard.
I was pissed and I hated the digging, and then I came upon a rock..big. I came out of the trench swearing..threw the shovel...swore more...kicked a Rubbermaid barrel as far as I could, except it was 2 barrels inside of each other....hurt and curse.
My son of 4 maybe 5 came up to me and took my hand and said, "dad..maybe we need a time out". He sat next to me as I settled down.
Moments like that never leave you.
