2. The Word, "Hyundai" means "Contemporary" or "Modern" in Korean.

The Japanese rendering of those Chinese ideograms is "Gendai", with the same meaning. Perhaps Hyundai also wanted to convey the modern and cutting edge connotations of its name by making this high tech commercial - so there may be a deeper story to it than just crass commercial exploitation. I know this because I used to translated articles from Japanese car magazines into English.
