(18,124 posts)him in the arm, shoulder, leg? I just don't know how hoodie wearing black kids turned into such a threat to all the cowardly fucks that fear and hate them. Oh that's right, they're "demons" also. Keep up the good work amerikkka, at this rate you'll be free in a few centuries from the fear and threat of the "demon" blacks....

(33,982 posts)The failure was the officer's decision to deploy deadly force. Shooting someone in the shoulder, is still an exercise of deadly force. (Brachial Artery) Not to mention you're likely to hit something much more vital than the contents of the shoulder in such a situation. You'd likely be appalled by the training/marksmanship of your average police officer.
In Seattle, a couple years back, a kid stole a police car. Two SPD vehicles passed each other, each officer thinking the other was the kid. They both stopped and opened fire on each other. 31 rounds discharged. Nobody hit a fucking thing.
Earlier this year, in New York, NYPD officers opened up on a man actually holding a weapon. 9 bystanders shot.
It would be nice if they could attempt to do less-lethal things, but once the firearm is involved, they are going to put bullets center mass. Which means, their target is going to die.
With predictable consequences when the use of force is questionable, as in this case.

No board of inquiry can un-dead someone.
