Rush Limbaugh Advertisers Death Spiral

Via Think Progress: "Radio-Info.com reports that Premiere Networks, which syndicates the Rush Limbaugh show, told its affiliate radio stations that they are suspending national advertising for two weeks...". This advertiser drop-off is in the wake of massive backlash after Rush called Georgetown student Sandra Fluke (a supporter of insurance providers covering birth control) a 'slut'. Also, Limbaugh doesn't seem to get it as evidenced by his referring to the "B-I-Itchy Opinion" of Washington Post reporter Alexandra Petri. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down, including Limbaugh's fake ratings.

1. really don't think Mike Malloy will leave but

well because he's been thru it before. But he's like one guy on the left that has the guts to stand up and shout down all conservative talk radio. and I never agreed with the firing of Don Imus. I seriously thought he made a mistake and he seriously apologized for it. Rush. He's still high on something. Bout time truth caught up with the right. So no more Fema at airports okay....

2. How much do you think Malloy makes?

Limbaugh we know about. He makes a million bucks a week. Malloy is still trying hard to get people to sponsor an hour for $100. He's never going to have sponsors giving him millions of bucks, and I don't think he would even want it.

People will pay BIG money to be told what they want to hear, but occasionally, on a shoestring budget, the truth comes through.
