The University of Michigan invited "The Color Purple" author Alice Walker to speak at an event and then rescinded the invitation, although the reason isn't clear.
On her blog, Walker said her agent was told a U-M donor objected to her speaking at the Center for the Education for Women's 50th anniversary event because of her outspoken views on the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Are you implying that U of M could be swayed by bucks over principal? If so, you are right on. Bought and $old.

He was denied a professorship at Princeton over the same type of issues!!! That's why he's at U of M.
YOU CAN'T CENSOR FREE SPEECH... PERIOD!

All you need is control of the levers of power. It's one thing for the snots at Princeton to pull a stunt like this, rich Zionists are among it's most financially generous alumni, and it is a private institution after all. When it happens at a public institution alarm bells should be going off everywhere, even though the alumni are more concerned with football than politics.

Got your point, thought.
For God's sake... somebody.... he's at U of M.
