Had to do it in two hitches but we are going to go all the way in a couple of years. My sister is going next year alone.

I will probably have to do it alone, but I don't mind... just need to find the time and money... I become restless and excited everytime I allow myself to seriously consider it...

I used to love to backpack in the Rockies. Did some 8 to 12 mile hikes but nothing like that.

I have a radio called the ATS3b, just meant to carry on the AT, multi-band ham radio for
communicating on the ham bands at 5 watts power, fits in an altoids tin.

I did my thru in 2001. It was an incredible trip. I HIGHLY encourage anyone interested to do it.

However, I'm on Warfarin (think falling down and bleeding to death with a gash in the leg or whatever) and had spinal fusion (think becoming a paraplegic because of the same fall as mentioned above).

Then again, having a lifetime death wish, I'll meet you there!

Couldn't do the whole thing, the repaired hip wouldn't hold up....
